Lucae Tuning fork

Lucae was a German otologist cum physician. He was a pupil of Troltsch, Toynbee, and Virchow. In 1871 he became the professor of otology at Berlin University. One of his important invention is the designing of a tuning fork with its attached sprung hammer. Both these come as a single unit. The hammer can be made to strike the fork with the help of a spring.
